Category 3 ride led by Nathan Brede

The category 3 riders led by Nathan Brede & joined by Peter Howard, Graham Knight, Jonny Spowart, Warekiwi (John) & new member Augirdas Augis rode out to Jordan's Mill in Broom today. The weather conditions were fine & clear and riders had no incidents or problems. Good ride and hope everyone enjoyed the route. We rode about 65 miles at an average speed of 15.5mph with approximately 2,425 feet of climbing.

Category 2 ride led by Chris Boulton

A great route to The Booking Office, Rayne with some very picturesque roads.

We were lucky with the weather which was a glorious sunny day (again).

Because of holidays and child care only 2 riders this week, Andy Smith and Chris Boulton.

Category 6 ride led by Daniel Horn

A bumper cat 6+ (the plus meaning it was a bit longer and hillier than usual) ride with 16 participants ranging from cat 3 regulars to new prospective members. So my aim was to get everyone to the tea stop at Nuthampstead by 11.00 come what may and thereafter let the faster riders breakaway.

Somehow, we reached the tea stop before 10.50, although there was one puncture which Tony DS hung back to officiate the repair of.

Good food, Guinness and hot beverages were consumed before setting off for the much longer return leg on which there were, surprisingly, no mechanicals, punctures or collisions. However Tony DS did exceed the ride record for using expletives on the hills – not without good reason, however.

Distance covered 43.7 miles

Climb 672m

Ave (moving) speed 13.9 mph
