Category 5 & 6 ride led by Danny Hood

Another rainy forecast day. This one's turned out to be half right or half wrong, depending on your outlook. With a few regulars doing the hill climb, our numbers were down on usual. The same applied to the cat fivers. So an elite group was formed from the two regiments, 'cat five and a half', similar to the formation of the SAS or a combination of 1st and 2nd Para. Elite, none the less.
Out in dry weather, albeit with extremely wet roads, but still the dreaded puncture curse struck one unlucky member. Quickly fixed and into Emily's in good time. Fast service and we were heading home. Although now it was raining heavily and did all the way home. No more problems until the group split at Hertford, with half heading to Ware and half elsewhere. I punctured at the main crossroads in Hertford but luckily it was only a few minutes walk to the car. That bugger is being repaired in the dry of my shed.... eventually!
Bad weather, good company, better than the other way round.
Oh and good luck to Jane and Bruno who are tying the knot next weekend. Bruno had the look of a man facing the firing squad in the morning. Only kidding... he looked worse..... at least with the firing squad you get a last meal. All the best, you two...
