Evening Club Run 8th July

Cat 3 ride led by Mike E
So, Chancellor Osborne did not raise the inheritance tax threshold on bikes to £1m, nor abolish VAT on brake blocks. Frustrated by the lack of fiscal support for cyclists, 18 turned up at Ware for a slog round the lanes. On the outbound route the 4 unled chariots of fire scattered the led bullock carts. Thankfully there were no casualties. After a route including Barwick Ford and a Bennington loop, the led group arrived at the bottom of Sacombe Hill. A significant few claimed domicile in Hertford (really?) and sped off in an alternative direction. The remainder, tough guys all, conquered the incline and fetched up back in Ware. 14 riders, 28 miles.
