3rd July - Icknield RC 25

Merv rode in the Icknield RC 25 on the A1 at Tempsford. It was a favourable morning for once and he was able to record what he says was a 'reasonable' time, improving on his best this year by over two minutes. His time was 1:4:17 for second Vet. on Standard. Winner was Dave Kendall Finsbury Park, beating Sam Barker with a 51:31 to Barker's 52:05.
