Ford Cycling Club Circuit Race - May 2nd

I started the first of several circuit races on the Ford test track at Dunton. There are eight races in total, each an hour long and spread over the summer period. Tony Marriott had always pestered me to enter but I always declined, "I'm a road racer!". Well the last couple of road races have been a nightmare with punctures. So, in search of my mojo, I entered the Ford CC circuit race. I'm very glad I did because I thoroughly enjoyed it. I got stuck in for the whole hour and loved it, even thought I'd won a prime! All that wasted energy cost me though and I finished in 18th place.
Any wheelers wishing to take part in road racing should give this ago. There's nothing technical about the course, it's not too serious and it's a fiver to race. For more info get in contact with me. Alternatively, everything is on the Ford CC website.
