Welcome to the Hertfordshire Wheelers.
The Hertfordshire Wheelers Cycling Club has been established in the East Herts area since July 1928 - thus making us one of the oldest established cycling clubs in Hertfordshire. The club has members from throughout the area including Cheshunt, Hertford, Ware, Stevenage and Much Hadham. Members take part in a variety of cycling activities including, road-racing, time-trialling, track-racing, audax and sportives. Each Sunday a "club run" takes place. This is a ride of 35-50 miles through the lanes of Hertfordshire and Essex taking in a refreshment stop in a café or pub.

RICHARD MAKES IT TO PARIS
Richard Henderson completed his four-day charity ride (for Cruse Bereavement Care) from London to Paris on 19th June. He experienced a variety of weather along the way; occasionally warm but sometimes cool and windy. There was also a variety of terrain along the designated route with some stiff hills in Kent but fast flat roads to the east of the Somme. Navigation was smoothly accomplished until Paris, where a missed turn gave him a five-mile touristic detour which included a circuit of the Arc de Triomphe ("not as scary as you would expect").
Richard's ride has so far raised £1,370, comfortably exceeding his £1,000 target. No doubt further contributions would be welcome via his website!
ARDRES 15-16th MAY
A fantastic weekend. And we won a trophy (although we suspect it was just for being foreign).

View the Photo Gallery and read some Wheelers' impressions of the trip.
