On a warm and fairly quick (northwards) morning Peter lowered his 100 time to 4:30:01, this despite forgetting his crash helmet (amongst other things).

Barry’s time of 23:52 was inside of 2 minutes of the winner and earned him joint seventh place and lots of SPOCO points.

As per usual the weather had a large say, although on this occasion it was wet and windy as opposed to just windy. Nevertheless Peter was timed at 24:01 whilst SteveW got 24:40.

Conditions were very good this evening on the F20. 7 riders took part. Once again the top 3 were close, 5 seconds splitting them. The road bike boys saw great improvements in the good conditions Nick and Tony finishing in the same time both posting above 25mph avg.

On a sunny, but (dare I say it again) windy afternoon 3 HWCC members took part in the VTTA National Championship 25 at Newmarket. Phil (59:11), Peter (1:01:16) and Merv (1:06:43).

A reasonable evening on the F20. 8 riders took part. Top 3 were close all on TT bikes Nick and Tony not far behind then on road bikes.

A fast ride south. Then a much slower ride north. The last three miles, there being no shelter from the very strong NE wind, were excruciating. Peter (1:01:34).

Merv and Steve rode this on a sunny but windy day on the E2. Steve recorded a 24:20, Merv, still recovering from illness, recorded 26:16. The winner was Richard Evans of Chelmer CC in 19:58.
