On the Leighton Buzzard course in difficult conditions with gusty cross-winds, Merv came 2nd Vet on Standard (25:48) just missing 1st place by 1 second.
-
Barry, Merv and Peter all took part in this Middlemarkers event, with Barry’s time of 1:00:01 the best of the three. With a strong headwind outward bound, Merv’s time of 1:03:32 easily surpassed Peter’s 1:05:25.
-
In dire weather conditions, Phil finished in 21:38, whilst Peter set a new PB of 22:34.
-
Peter entered this race thinking it was a 25 (as per CTT handbook). However despite a fast ride to Turnford (under 11 mins) the wind conditions on the return resulted in a 24:54.
-
Merv produced his best time for five years (4:52:25) on an A11 course near Norwich.
-
Barry’s time of 24:56 gave him 21st out of 46, behind the winner’s time of 22:21.
-
A PB for Peter as his time of 1:00:51 was 38 seconds faster than his previous.
-
Peter’s time of 2:31:01 earned him 10th place in this event based at Sawtry. However as only 14 riders completed, it’s not really much to brag about. The winner was timed at 2:02:18 on a fairly slow course.
-
Again back at Newark (this time in good conditions), mechanical problems enabled Peter to start with a 50min penalty, but the actual time ridden (1:06:05) was his fastest 25 this year. Looking forward to getting a decent bike to race on. Might not be any … more ->
