  • 7th October – Maldon CC Road Race

    This was Nick C’s last race of the season and involved four laps of a 70Km circuit around Steeple, Maylandsea and Tillingham in Essex. With one and a half laps to go he was brought down by a large group of riders crashing – his first crash … more ->

  • 6th October – VTTA (East Anglia) (Leo 30) (E2/30)

    Fantastic!  With a time of 1:16:46 Merv set a time that was 6 seconds faster than the club record he established 59 years ago in 1953.  This also established an East Anglian Group VTTA Age record at 79.  Meanwhile Phil clocked 1:09:12.

  • Thai Night – 5th October

    Around 16 Wheelers assembled in the Six Templars in Hertford preparatory to a meal in the Baan Thitya restaurant. The unanimous verdict was that this was an excellent evening with wonderful food and good service. Many thanks to Danny for organising!

  • Clubruns 30th September

    After the roadrace seven wheelers took off for the Golf Club at Wandon End.

  • 30th September – Lea Valley CC 30 (E1/30)

    It was very cold on the unfashionable and undulating E1 near Newport when Merv clocked 1:27:20 in this event.  He was further hampered by a strong headwind from the turn.

  • 29th September – Finchley RT 25 (2-up) (F14/12)

    Another windy afternoon saw the Steve & Paul complete the course in 1:04:16.

  • Clubruns 23rd September

    According to the weather forecast, it would start ok and then progressively worsen.  And so it came to pass.  The outward bound journey was fine but upon returning to the fresh air after the refreshment break…….!  It was cold and very wet – ie foul.  … more ->
