Off Road run led by John F
Our occasional foray along the Flitch Way drew a larger than normal off road group
of 8 Wheelers and 1 guest. Some on road miles to get us out of Sawbridgeworth
through Little Hallingbury and Hatfield Forest to join the Flitch Way at Takeley.
Passing by Little Canfield we soon arrived at Dunmow where some busy urban roads
unfortunately have to be negotiated to get us back on route east of the town.
Thereafter a better maintained section of the route gives us a good run into Rayne,
apart from having to pick our way around the rubbish thrown over the fence of the
Felsted travellers site. We were met at the Booking Hall café by long time Wheelers
member, Bill Chastell, who had made his way there by combination of train and bus.
Return back along the Flitch Way all the way to Start Hill and then back on road
through Great Hallingbury, Little Hallingbury to Sawbridgeworth. 44 miles.

Cat 6 run led by Danny N
9 riders which included the “three Dan’s and a welcomed return by Lee Mason
departed from Hartham in a southerly direction towards the InExGarden centre in
Goff’s Oak via Mangrove Road to Hoddesdon  cycling through what some suitably call
“littleSwitzerland”!!  With not a Toblerone tobe found, we carried on through
Cheshunt  and onto Goffs Oak.   All 9 riders arrived together, queuing for food was
slow, but it arrived in good time. 8 riders returned via Newgate Street, Wormley West
End and Brickenden.  A great ride with good banter and no mechanicals.

Cat 3 run led by Nathan B
Three of us set off for Bison Hill in the Chilterns, in glorious sunshine.  On the way we decided to do Dunstable Downs, Ivanhoe Beacon and then the dreaded Bison Hill.  Good pace set and good climbing.  No breakdowns so overall a good run was had by all.
