Category 6 ride led by Danny Hood

A chilly start to the day, but with the prospect of sunshine later on it meant that a posse of 16 gathered at start HQ. Off we set towards Wareside, then on through Hunsdon, Perry Green and Spellbrook. Having booked for 10 people at the café, I thought I'd better phone and warn about the increased numbers. This seemed to cause a panic to the café's staff but they came through, and we arrived to find a table for 16 waiting for us. Several members had other things planned for the day and forsake the victuals in favour of a quick dash home. As usual the service was a bit slow, and how they manage to serve half a dozen sausage sandwiches before four slices of cake still puzzles me. 55 minutes later we were ready to leave just as Daniel Horn's (or Jonah as I prefer to call him) food arrives. Outside we mounted our trusty steeds and set off home. Puncture! - that dreaded shout. Another 10 minutes later we were off heading for home via Matching, Potter Street and Roydon.
A total of 37 miles at an average speed of just over 13mph.
Don't you just love riding on days like this, mucho sol..... Now it's time for my siesta...adios amigos.
