26th August - London Phoenix GP

Nick Cramer rode the London Phoenix Grand Prix (cats 2,3 and 4) - the latest round of the Eastern Road Race League. He reports a return to form after a couple of disappointing results.
" My last two road races, back in June, were a disaster. I'd been on one of those awful "all inclusive" holidays where you can eat and drink as much as you want and that's where I lost my "mojo"! I went back to basics and trained hard. I set my sights on the London Phoenix Road Race which was on a course I had ridden before. It involved a six mile loop, near East Hanningfield, which was ridden 10 times. This race was a higher category than is normal for me and there were some class riders taking part but I rolled over a respectable 27th out of 60 riders and 19 seconds behind the winner. I've got my mojo back! "
