    Brian (24:13) trumped Peter (25:03), Phil (25:04) and Merv (29:14) on a very windy and cold A11. The crosswinds made the bikes more difficult to control but Brian coped the best.

    Clive’s 1:07:08 was a good early season time in reasonable conditions near Sawston. The event winner completed in just under 49 minutes, although nobody else got within 7 minutes of that time.

  • 12-Mar-11 WEST SUFFOLK WHEELERS 21 (BS/31).

    Merv took part in this at Risby, just outside of Bury St Edmunds. Encountering a strong southerly wind he recorded 1:08:09, less than 18 minutes behind the (much younger) event winner.
